Seattle is home to some of the best oyster bars in the Pacific Northwest, where you can enjoy fresh, local oysters straight from the sea. The city’s seafood scene offers a variety of options, making it a top destination for oyster lovers.
The best-tasting oyster, however, depends on your choice. Some oyster types are known for their unique flavors and textures. For example, Seattle’s Kumamoto oysters are small with deep shells and a rich, buttery, nutty flavor. Their firm texture and mild, sweet taste, similar to Hami melon, make them great to eat raw!
It’s mostly true that the days of finding cheap oysters in Seattle are over. But you can still get $1 or $2 oysters during happy hour in some places.
These spots offer oysters for dining in a restaurant setting, but where to buy oysters in Seattle to take home? Well, Pike Place Market would be your best bet, along with Town & Country Market Shoreline and Wild Salmon Seafood Market.
